Filmmaking Summer Camp
In this two week camp, students are grouped into small teams with a mentor. Each student writes, directs and edits their own short film, acts in 2-3 other short films, and crews yet another. From storytelling to pre-production to shooting on location and acting for the camera to post production, every student learns hands on what goes on behind the scenes and in front of the camera. Students lead the way, supported every step by experienced mentors. On the final day of camp, friends and family are invited to watch our films on the big screen. Our goal is to provide the skills, technique and language of filmmaking so as to empower students to go on to create their own projects in the future. It is a whirlwind, a lot of work, and an incredible accomplishment. All levels of experience are welcome.
